MEMO2 FREELANCERS, 2: BEING A PROFESSIONAL
In Issue 2 Corwin Hiebert discusses the business value of being a consummate professional.
Being a professional has nothing to do with how much revenue one generates, but rather how you conduct yourself as a service provider. A freelancer will be perceived as a hobbyist if they offer their services, and perform their creative work, in a casual or chaotic manner. In order to be a viable alternative within a given market a creative must conduct themselves professionally no matter how much time or resources they allocate to their venture.
The featured freelancer is Australia-based photographer Kingsley Burton and we give a shout out to our favourite art blog, a commercial photographer whose portfolio we totally dig, and we recommend a book to help you establish your creative legacy.
This issue is available in both PDF and Evernote® formats.
